Teacher Preparation

Admission Requirements for Licensure with PK-6 Endorsement

*2.7 grade point average on a 4.0 scale from a regionally accredited college or university
*Passing scores from the  Praxis I exam
*Three letters of recommendation
*Professional essay- one-page typed essay describing the applicant's purpose for entering the teaching profession

Required content area preparation:

  • BA/BS in liberal arts or science or equivalent, with 6 hours in each English, mathematics, history, and science 
  • Required undergraduate content courses for licensure
